Occupational therapy aims to help people of all ages participate in the things they need to, and more importantly, want to do. For children, occupational therapy can focus on learning how to play, eat, get dressed, go to the bathroom, interact with people, regulate emotions, sleep, and much more. Our services can help children build necessary skills for more fulfilling participation in everyday life. We work on these skills through fun and engaging activities, providing evidence-based therapies disguised as play.

Any clinician entering a family’s home will be wearing a cleaned / sanitized set of clothes, KN95 face mask, and sealed eye protectors. Shoes will left outside, and sterile booties will be worn inside the house. The clinician will sanitize hands before and after entering the house hold.

Prior to entry the clinician will call the family and screen the family with the following questions:
1. Have you or anyone in the household tested positive for Covid-19 within 14 days?
2. Have you or anyone in the household had any symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 14 days? (Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches
Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea)
3. Have you been near or been exposed to anyone with those symptoms or anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

Both the clinician and family have to respond “no” to each question”. If either the clinician or family responds yes to any question, the appointment could either be switched to a virtual visit or be rescheduled for another time.

Upon entry the clinician will hand the family our COVID-19 health attestation form.

It is recommended that the family wear masks during the evaluation.

Additionally, the clinician will be tested weekly for COVID-19.

As always your safety and health is our priority. If you are not feeling comfortable or confident with these safety precautions virtual evaluations and treatment sessions are always an option, which are offered at a discounted price.
